Study in UK- Step by Step Preparations


More than 150,000 students from India went abroad for their higher studies. UK is one of the most desired destinations for the higher studies amongst number of students. Top Universities like Oxford, Cambridge and University College London are a few of the many top notch institutions in UK which attracts a number of students every year. Number of students applies for various universities in UK but there are many students which cannot make through the admissions in such colleges due to incomplete preparation. Application Submission Process:  The initial step is to sort out the colleges where you want to apply. You can select the college on the basis of your score in entrance examination, reputation and standard of education of college, courses and similar other factors. Once you are decided with the colleges, you must get the required information about them from their website. Application forms of most of the universities are available on their website. Once you application is received by the institutions you will get a reply from the university with in a month after your application form submission. There are three different type of responses that are made by the universities in UK they are Conditional Acceptance in that case you are required to submit more documents like your entrance exam score cards, letter of acceptance and etc. while in case of unconditional acceptance you are required to pay initial fee if you are interested to take admission. Incase your application is not eligible which can be due to many reasons like low academic score, low score in entrance examinations and inability to fulfill the financial requirements. So under such circumstances your application can be rejected as well.    

Visa Application: It is advised that students must apply for the visas three months in advance before intake session. Students can apply for the visa in nearby Canadian embassy or there are various application centers VFS global where you can apply for visa as well. VFS global is commercial partner of UKBA and operates number of applications throughout India. Visa fee is to be paid in the local currency of the country Indian students have to pay the non refundable amount of INR 8415. The application for visa is to be submitted along with certain important documents including letter of confirmation from university or college in UK where you are going to study, financial evidence like bank statement or pay slip to show that you have sufficient financial assets to support your education and most importantly your educational documents. You can also be asked for having a personal interview with visa officer who can ask certain question as per your profile details.

Application for Scholarships and loans: Once you receive the letter of confirmation from the university where you want to study you can apply for scholarships and loans. There are various national and international organizations which provide scholarships to the students on the merit basis. There various banks all over the country which provides loans for higher education and one can attain a loan up to 20 lakh rupees depending upon requirements. 

Going via these steps will certainly help students to get admission through the desired universities. Along with these steps students must prepare well for there entrance examination to make there journey towards there dream universities in UK easier.
