How to Meet your Financial Requirements to Study in UK

Every year huge number of international students from all over the world comes to Study in UK for their higher studies. U.K. is one of the most popular destinations amongst international students because of its world class universities, top quality education system, state of the art infrastructure and number of job opportunities. These are a few of the many reasons that attracts number of student towards U.K. but the biggest challenge in front of the students how to meet their expenses on studies as well as their day to day requirements.

International students who come for studying in reputed universities in U.K. they have to bear expenses ranging from $25000 to $100,000 per annum including there cost of living, university fee, and other expenses during there stay. These expenses are quite high on pocket and as the cost of living is also on a higher side in U.K this is one of the major reasons for these high expenses. There are many options that can help students in meeting up their expenses to support there stay and study in UK.
  • Strong Financial Family Back Ground: One of the most important requirements for studying in elite Colleges in UK is strong financial background. Good amount of saving is one of the foremost requirements for affording such high expenses. While there are many foundations, business, religious groups and societies as well that provides loans and scholarships to students to help in there studies.  If a student has a good family background and strong academic record there are very strong chances of getting financial aid from such recourses.
  • Bank Loan: Bank loan is one the major option that most of the students look for there financial expenses. There are many banks which provides loan for students who wants to study abroad.   A student can get a bank loan of up to INR 20 lakh. The amount of bank loan offered also depends upon your current financial assets and rate of interest for these loan varies from 10%-12%.
  • Trust Loan:  Students can look up to trust loans as well for funding there financial requirements. These loans are offered at very low rate of interest ranging between 2 to 4 % so it will be very easier for students to pay it back.   •  Scholarship: Students can also apply for scholarship and this can be very prudent financial aid. Scholarships are offered by university, colleges or by government bodies. These scholarships are generally based on merit. There are various national level students also which you can look up to a few of these scholarships are Agha Khan Foundation, Inlaks Foundation, ITC Ltd. and etc.    
  • AID From International bodies: Various international organizations provide scholarship and financial aid to meritorious students. These financial aids are base over the performance of students in various entrance tests like GMAT, GRE, TOFEL and etc while previous academic back ground is also considered by few of the organizations. There are various organizations in UK which provides such financial aids a few of these reputed organizations are Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarships, The Chevening Scholarship and Commonwealth Scholarship. These scholarships are highly competitive so one must have a decent score in entrance examination for attaining these scholarships.
  • Earn While You Learn: Most of the colleges in UK allows students to work part time to support there stay in U.K. There are many Universities in UK which allows students to work part time on campus while they are studying.  A few of the universities allows students to work off campus as well. Students can work 20 hours in a week which proves as a very vital support for meeting there living expenses.
